Kohti korkeuksia / Higher and higher

Torstaina koulun jälkeen ryhmä kokoontuu jälleen teknisen työnluokkaan, ja taideteos jatkaa kohoamistaan kohti taivasta (Tai kattoa.) Miekka etenee huimaa vauhtia, ja ensimmäisen pyrstön perustat ovat valmiina kaikesta huolimatta. Insinööritaidon puute ei ole este, ainoastaan hidaste. Taideprojektin eteneminen on todella innostava (ja yhtä aikaa kauhistuttava ) asia.

We meet as every Thursday after lessons. Everything goes well :) We have great group, groupwork works and sculptures comes at the every meeting higher and higher. Everyone are so excited even that we have sometimes some technical problems to solve. But you can trust on group!

Pauke sen kuin yltyy! / Bang baNG BANG !!!

Nyt ollaan päästy asianmukaisesti teknisen luokkaan rakentamaan. (Tällä kertaa sählyn pelaajat kävivät kurkkimassa ovelta innokasta rakentajaporukkaa.) Samalla huomataan, että pienoismallissa tehdyt kuumaliimalla tehndyt liitosratkaisut eivät välttämättä toimi varsinaisessa rakenteessa. Mutta yhteispelillä saatiin liitokset ratkaistua. Ja sitä mukaan kun veistos rakentuu, niin nähdään todellinen koko.

"Nyt kun olemme päässeet tekemään näitä töitämme haluamissamme mitoissa, niin jopa työtkin ovat ja tulevat näyttämään erilaiselle! Miekan piti aluksi olla 2m mutta se näytti niin onnettoman pieneltä, niin päätimme tehdä siitä pidemmän, nyt se on ehkä jotain 3m hieman korkeampikin? Ja miekkakin on vielä pahasti vaiheessa, mutta uskon että saamme työt valmiiksi ajoissa."

After beginning we continued working in the Woodclass. Of course that is the best place! There is enough place and etc. We realised how big or small our sculptures will be and made some chances. For example we have decides to make the sword as 2 metres long but it was too less. 3 meters was much better! We also realised that we can´t use joint as scale model. Of course it´s diffrent to use nails than hot clue!

Sahojen suhinaa ja vasaroiden pauketta! / the saws swishing and the hammers bangs!

 

Ja sitten vaan ihan oikeesti rakentamaan! Vihdoin!  Kuvisluokasta ja pihasta muuttui hetkessä puutyösali. Innokas vasarointi kiinnosti myös naapuriluokissa olijoita. Harvemmin kai sitä kuulee sellaista pauketta ;) Hienosti homma lähti käytiin ja ensimmäiset kehikot alkoivat saada muotonsa.

And then is time to building! Finally :) We started in the Art class and the outdoor. Ou that sound! It doesn´t matter are you boy or girl - every of them have good skills to hammer and sawing. At least everyone will learn that :) Thats why fire sculpture is good method because participant doesn´t need to have great skills on art. It is just enought that she or he want to take part this. This is group work where everyone learns from each others!

Luonnoksista pienoismalliksi / From the sketchies to the scale models

Rimojen haun jälkeen veistosten tekeminen alkoi edistyä. Ensin tehtiin pienoismallit luonnosten pohjalta, joitten avulla kaikki pystyivät ymmärtämään toistensa ideoita. Pienoismallien avulla oli myös helppo miettiä teosten sijoittamisjärjestystä. Vaan emmepä vielä kerro täysin mitä aioimme tehdä ;)

Working start with story of  Kalevala. After that we have brainstorming together and sketching in small groups or alone. We choose the most insteresting ideas ann continued with them. We decided to do sword of Väinämöinen and those three fish which have swallowed the fire.Grand piano would be the macigal kantele.

Rimojen hakureissulla / Getting material

Kävimme noutamassa puutavaraa paikalliselta Juankosken sahalta tulitaideteoksiamme varten. Puutavarat saimme lahjoituksena. Suuret kiitokset heille! Emme malta odottaa, että pääsemme töihin.

Statusti Nuutti  ja Jukka

Fire Sculptures are building from wood lath. Local sawmill sponsored us giving us as free waste lath. We got a trailer full of lath! Time to start building :)

Ajatukset laitettu lentoon! Näitä lintuja oli ope rakentamassa 2009 Inarijärven rannalla.

Kantele palaa!  / Kantele on fire!

Voiko lukiossa saada hyväksyttävän kurssin rakentamalla ja polttamalla? Kyllä!

Juankosken lukio tarjoaa harvojen ja valittujen lukioiden kurssitarjonnassa Tulitaide -kurssin. Lukion uusi kuviksen soveltavakurssi lyö hynttyyt yhteen musiikkiteatterin sekä yläkoulun ilmaisutaidon ja kuviksen kanssa tähtäimessä laadukas spektaakkeli marras-joulukuun pimeisiin hetkiin. Miten valo saikaan alkunsa..?  Lopputuloksesta pääsevät nauttimaan kaikki halukkaat, mutta oletko sinä lukion 2 tai 3 luokkalainen tekemässä tätä ennen kokematonta elämystä?

Aloitamme keskiviikkona 4.9.2013 klo:15-16.15 Kuvisluokassa. 


At Juankoski Upper Secondary School has one very special course: Fire Sculpture or Fire Art working. That based on Art Education, Community Art, Music and Drama. The idea is cooperating between different subjects and produce event to the school and the hole community.

This year our event take a place at the beginning of  December when is most of  the day just dark. What would be better time to fire sculptures and the party? Our music teacher got the old grand piano which was broken. That shape is like kantele has. Kantele is traditional finnish music instrument. We got the idea for our working from finnish mytholgy Kalevala. There is story of fire and how to Väinämöinen save it from pike´s stomach. The Väinämöinen is the biggest hero of the Kalevala and he has kantele with macigal power. Using that kantele and his sword, Väinämöinen save the fire.

This blog tells to you how to this projects goes on at the Art. At the same time music and drama are working with their presents. Periodically we come to together and chechking how is everythin going.
